Welcome to Metro Medical Dialysis Online Training Course
With this course you will learn the basic topics on cannulation; anatomy and physiology of the kidney; and treatment of diseased kidney. Each module is a self sufficient topic with suggested practice areas with relevant informational background, and evaluation materials.
MODULE 1 : TODAY'S DIALYSIS ENVIRONMENT : AN OVERVIEW
MODULE 2 : THE PERSON WITH CRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE
MODULE 3 : PRINCIPLES OF DIALYSIS
MODULE 4 : HEMODIALYSIS DEVICES
MODULE 5 : VASCULAR ACCESS
MODULE 6 : HEMODIALYSIS PROCEDURES AND COMPLICATIONS
MODULE 7 : DIALYZER REPROCESSING
MODULE 8 : WATER TREATMENT
MODULE 9 : FINAL EXAM (you must score 75% or higher to pass - No Exceptions!!)
The cost of the program is $1,500.00 + processing fee and GA state tax.
Initial module is $500.00 + $15.00 processing fee and GA state tax (Module 1)
Each module thereafter is $125.00 + $3.00 processing fee and GA state tax (Modules 2-9)
Work at your own pace - you are given upto 6 months to complete.
Final exam: can only be accessed after completion of all modules.
Module/Quizzes: Each module quiz is timed you will only have 30 minutes. A passing score is 75% or higher of all quizzes combined PLUS 75% or high in the Final Exam. If you do not pass the quiz for a particular module you are still aloud to move to the next module.
Final Exam: The Final Exam is 90 minutes and you MUST score 75% or high to pass the Course.
Refund Policy: If the course has been accessed NO refund is available. If the course has not been accessed. A refund minus $100.00 application fee is available up to three days from date of enrollment. No refunds will be given after third day.
Certificate: You do not need to request a certificate after you have completed your online course; we will mail you a completion certification with in a few weeks.
Certification Exam: There is a certification exam for all technicians; you will have 18 months to take this exam after you are hired. For RN/LPN, the certification exam is not required but you are allowed to take it. For more info after completion of course - call 770-437-1250.
